Bharathiar University is located in the Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. University was established by Tamilnadu government february 1982. It is one of the oldest and top university in India. Bharathiar University was ranked 13th among the Inidan Universities. Bharathiar University was ranked 2nd by the times of India among th non-professional universities in India. The University is located in the foot hills of Maruthamalai Hills of western ghats, the campus is 1000 acres of land with great scenic view.
Distance Education :
The Bharathiar University – SDE(school of distance education) was established on 1991-1992. The Bharathiar University increased the number of distance educations centres for the enrollment and for the spot admissions for the coutry to to help increase the literacy rate. The school also admits direct walkin enrollment as well as the specified regional centers across coimbatore. They are also preparing their own indiviual materials for distance learners.
